George Washington's Childhood

George Washington loved to learn about things. When he was little, he went from shop to shop to learn about how things worked. George sometimes had races on a raft. George was strong and tall. He was very strict when he taught other kids. He was also a good surveyor.

Paul Revere

I read a book about Paul Revere. Paul was good at school. His best friend was Mickey. Paul helped his father in the silversmith shop. Paul was a good messenger. He saved a lot of people by warning them. He was a good horseback rider.

One of Paul's other jobs was ringing the church bells. My favorite part was when Paul didn't ring the bell because he met a British person who hated him. The British person's grandfather was the one Paul was supposed to ring for.

I think Paul was smart and tricky to the British. I think he was very fast on a horse. I think he risked his life to save other people.

Sports Day

I went to sports day. We took a friend named Issa. We played many sports. We played rugby, tennis, soccer, and basketball. In rugby, our team won once and the other team won once. In tennis, juggling was a little hard for me but I hit the balls hard. In soccer, we played lots of different kinds of games with balls. In basketball, I made a lot of baskets in a row.




At the end, our family and Issa did a family relay. In the family relay, we ran and kicked soccer balls. Issa crab-walked for us. We had fun.

My Weekend

We went to a big park. At the park there was a place where you could build things and play with fire and dig holes and play with ropes. There were two ropes together and we climbed on them. I dug a deep hole with a post-hole digger. Daniel and I made a big fire. I climbed a tree too.



The next day, I went to church. After church, I played with my friends, Sho, Subaru, and Ray. We played soccer. We planted seeds. We cleaned the ground. I got dirty. When I went home, my house was full of guests.

Halloween Party

I went to a Halloween Party. I dressed as a soldier. I wore a camouflage helmet, shirt, and pants. I made my helmet by taping a camouflage handkerchief to hard hat. We ate smores and other snacks. We went trick-or-treating. My friend was a ninja, my sister was a ballerina, and my brother was Tigger.




In the morning we carved a Jack o' Lantern from a pumpkin. We scooped out the seeds first and then Daddy carved a face into it. The pumpkin was green and small.

A Time to Talk

I memorized this poem for school. I want to be a farmer when I grow up so I like this poem.

My Summer Vacation

On July 6, 2009, my cousins, Grandma, and I watched Ice Age 3. We were going to go hiking but the weather was bad. The movie was about dinosaurs.

On July 7, my family and I went hiking in Glacier National Park. We saw a mule deer walk by. We also saw chipmunks and squirrels. We saw waterfalls and mountains. When we drove back, there was a rainbow.

On July 9, we had a boat ride. We ate snacks and I got to drive. The weather was not so good. That night we had a sleepover with my cousins.

On another day, we went to a water park. After that we had my birthday party. I got a pocket knife. The next day was Daniel's birthday.

We went to see a play. The play was a combination of Dr. Seuss books. My favorite part was Horton Hears a Who.

On July 17, we went to a bison range. We saw deer, antelope, elk, and bison. The bison were huge.

I did lots of other things too. I'll write more later.
